About

What does “Perfect Pot” mean?   Well, it depends on who is looking at the term.  For me, a “perfect pot” is a vessel that allows ingredients—-and that is the fun adventure—-to be transformed.  The “Perfect Pot” blog is about finding deliciously different ingredients and transforming them.   The first pot I found was a cute little one at Ikea which would be easy to do planetary travels with.  This blog will  record  what was discovered—and transformed from exploring markets,  traipsing through abandoned gardens and overgrown forests and helping friends, family and farmers harvest their plantings.

Then, depending on the stoves, tools and  techniques,  transform what was gathered, share the recipes and see what people think.

So this an adventure, exploratory and cooking experiment website. Watching to see what unexpected happens—-what’s chopping, whipping, rising, marinating, frying, braising, sauteing, simmering, poaching, roasting, stewing, baking, grilling and who’s licking, chewing, savoring and celebrating….

Come join me as I see where the perfect pot leads…. help fill the pot  with the goods of the planet–the spices, fruits, vegetables,  oils, butters, eggs, meats, fishes,  milks, cheeses, wines, waters and syrups….the edibles of delight, nourishment and balance…..
